True literacy through deeper reading comprehension
This 5-day workshop for teachers will cover strategies to improve students’ reading comprehension, including understanding, accuracy, fluency, and vocabulary. Through interactive activities, discussions and practice exercises, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to help their students succeed. The facilitator will guide, provide feedback and support throughout the workshop.
Objectives
The objective of this 5-day workshop is to provide teachers with the knowledge, strategies, and techniques to improve their students’ reading comprehension skills using the Proven methodologies. The workshop will cover the four elements of true literacy: Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expanded Vocabulary. Participants will learn how to implement effective comprehension strategies, techniques to increase accuracy in reading, strategies to improve reading fluency and how to enhance vocabulary. The goal is to empower teachers with the tools to help their students to become better readers, by providing them with hands-on activities, group discussions and practice exercises.
Methodology
The 5-day workshop methodology is interactive and hands-on, it will cover a different component of literacy and reading comprehension each day, through group activities, discussions, practice exercises, and evaluations. Participants will be introduced to the topic of the day, and will have the opportunity to practice the new strategies, share their experiences and successes, and set goals for continued improvement. The facilitator will guide, provide feedback and support to ensure a positive learning experience.

Training Programme
Day 1: Group Introduction / (icebreaker exercise); Introduction to the reading comprehension improvement program and assessment of current skills.
Day 2: Strategies and techniques for comprehension improvement.
Day 3: Techniques for increasing reading accuracy.
Day 4: Strategies for improving reading fluency.
Day 5: Techniques for expanding vocabulary and wrap-up of the program, including setting goals for continued improvement, Debrief and Evaluation.
