Using Lean tools to become an effective and people oriented Leader

Using Lean tools to become an effective and people oriented Leader

This course allows you to bring, into your leadership methods, the LEAN focus on customer and efficiency. It has two segments: learn to lead focused on your people and learn to lead efficiently.
On the first segment of this training we focus on Leading focused on the people.

The challenges for a leader today are many… The different generations, this VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world we live in. The forms of leadership must be questioned and constantly updated. The way forward: Focus leadership on people. This training presents in a practical and pragmatic way how to lead focused on people and how it translates into the team’s day-to-day life.
Leading focused on the people means learning tools that allow you as a leader to develop your team. Learning to bring Coaching as a leadership tool is one of the parts of this course.
Coaching is the most intense way for a leader to focus on their team development, meaning, to lead focused on the people.
With this training and the GROW method, any leader can make Coaching one of their leading tools. The GROW method gives a structure to follow on the sessions and assures a consequence and follow up.

On the second segment of this course we focus on leading efficientely and effectively through moderation skills, through email management skills and through problem solving skills. Target is bringing efficiency and effectiveness to the moments where there is more room for improvement on reducing wasted time: meetings, problems and email management.

Meetings:
Acomplishing efficient and effective meetings is crutial for any business.
Meetings that are not properly prepared, conducted and finalized can bring waste and even demotivation to its participants.
This training shares a set of Best Practices focused on allowing the meetings to become efficient – time and agenda fullfilled – and effective – targets of the meeting achieved.

Emails:
Information transfer on companies is made more and more through email exchange.
Not always do the employees have the time nor knowledge to make a effective management of the mailbox.
This training will reduce the time spent on email and calendar management through two approaches:
 • Tools focused on automatisms and better organization
 • Best practice for a daily and weekly approach to emails and calendar.

Problems:
Problem solving is a sorce of waste in the organizations: repeatedely we treat symptoms and not root causes making problems appear that could have been avoided.
On this training you will know and aply the Lean aproach on problem solving: starting with a triage, followed by tools that guide you to a pragmatic, definitive and solution oriented problem solving.

With a strong practical part, the training includes exercices based on case studies, that demonstrate the tools aplicability to any area of work.
