Emotional Intelligence (EI or EQ) is a critical skill in today’s world, enabling individuals to recognize, foster, and manage their own emotions, as well as those of others. This course delves into the essence of EI, emphasizing its significance in education and everyday life. Over five enriching days, participants will explore the principles of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and acquire practical tools to enhance emotional awareness and management.
Implementing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in educational settings are a foundational framework to promote emotional intelligence and social skills. The course proposes principles and guidelines for effective design and implementation of successful SEL programs and initiatives. Our aim is to foster the foundation for creating emotionally intelligent and socially skilled individuals by cultivating self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, responsible decision-making, and positive interpersonal relationships, reflecting upon the principles that are more likely to yield positive outcomes for students and contribute to a healthy and supportive cultural environment.
