This course framework aims to provide science-based information about bullying, its negative effects and to contribute to mitigate the problem. Based on global data about bullying, every single one of us were exposed to this type of violence at some point of our lives. Either as a victim, a bully or as a bystander. Studies indicate that the phenomenon happens at home, at schools and universities, workplaces environment, hospitals, prisons and even kindergartens. Being one of the major causes for severe physical and mental health issues, addictions, social phobias, school redrawn and even suicide, it is possible to safely affirm that bullying prevention can save lives. Designed to help schools, professionals, business owners, HR departments and individuals to identify bullying occurrences and to adopt the best possible practices to minimize damages and improve corporate, professional, and personal wellbeing.

 • Promote an in depth understanding of the concept of bullying

 • Cultivate a mindset that integrates practices inspired by the finest theories among the participants.

By the end of the course, trainees will have improve the following skills:
 • Understand the various types of bullying
 • Recognize the need of increasing awareness regarding anti-bullying prevention and action strategies
 • Comprehend in depth the social phenomenon of bullying and its immediate, medium and long-lasting effects on physical and mental health
 • Acquire ability to create taylored anti-bullying strategies to prevent and to stop bullying in social, educational and professional environments

Methodology
The methodology of this course will ensure an active involvement of its participants prior, during and after the delivery of the course. More specifically, upon confirmation that the course will take place, the participants will receive preparatory material (if needed), which will cover all essential concepts to be presented during the delivery of the course. The training is based on a combination of three important elements: Provision of required knowledge (theory), usage of training tools, such as case studies, videos, games, animations & sensorial exercises (hands on experience – practice) and a feedback/reflection (review). The participants will receive hard copy material, which will cover the content to be presented in all five (5) days of the course. The material will be presented in a form of Power Point (PPT) presentations, videos, animations, case studies, worksheets, hypothetical situations, and exercises. All training tools will ensure that the theoretical knowledge gained by the participants can be used in real life situations as an important added value.

The participants will understand in depth the concept of bullying and how they can adopt anti-bullying strategies. Exercises of body language, play, empathy, communication skils, assertiveness and reflection in theory and by group undercurrents applied to real situations of daily routines. Learning how to build their own strategies for a personal, social, learning and/or work safe environment

 • Certificate of attendance & certificate of competence (skills & competences required – Europass CV)
 • Europass mobility certificates – to be issued by the applicant’s National Authority (NA)

Monday: introduction; the concept of bullying; types of bullying; evolution of bullying research
Tuesday: bullying and neuroscience / anti-bullying programs (best practices)
Wednesday: bullying EU regulation/selfcare, mental and physical health
Thursday: bullying damages your brain – self-awareness and empowering exercises
Friday: preventing and opposing bullying and its long-term effects/overview of the course – reflections
